This position will be representing the interests of a major public agency in a construction oversight role. This position may receive direction from Construction Management staff on either the HDR or client side. Will act independently as CQC while coordinating all QC functions so as not to delay construction scheduling . Read and understand specifications, reference codes and standards Review and interpret contract drawings Review provisions that have been made to provide required control inspection and testing. Prepare CQC submittal plan for project. Perform daily checks to assure control activities, including testing and compliance. Conduct all completion inspections – punch-out, pre-final and final acceptance. Efficient management of project submittals. Check to assure all materials and or equipment have been tested, submitted and approved. Exam the work area to assure that all required preliminary work has been completed and is in compliance with the contract. Communicate and document deficiencies. Communicate with Contracting Officer in a clear and understandable manner about all status updates. Conduct required meetings with all interested parties. Ensure full compliance with contract requirements and resolve all differences. Maintain current records providing factual evidence that required quality control activities and/or tests have been performed.
